Pamela has cherished that the absence of a morning rush lets her spend more time with her husband, Ryan, and their two sons Gunnar and Rhys. She is lucky to be able to work from home during this time, and she has also realized how badly clutter can affect anxiety. For her, it was always a relief to get out of the house and go to an organized workspace. She finds it really hard to focus in a small apartment full of four people's stuff.  She misses random conversations in person and chance encounters, but small gestures from neighbors have become entirely meaningful.

" [...] The neighborhood really seems to be putting an effort to connect. I have loved the sidewalk chalk inspiration and teddy bears in windows. Little tidbits of people connecting to let you know that we're all in this together. Most people seem to genuinely care about each other even if you don't know them."

"I want my children to remember that we went through this, and the world came together to help each other."

When she asked Gunnar, who turned four on this day, what his thoughts were about the virus, he said:

"We have to stay home all the time, especially Mimis and Papas and Grandma and Grandpas; and we can't sit next to each other or touch anyone other than our families; and people are getting sick, but doctors can take care of them [...]."
